The Association Board
Under the Constitution, the body responsible for managing the affairs of the Association is the Board, which is comprised of:
- The Principal of the College of TAFE or nominee
- A maximum of 2 Associate members appointed by the Board
- A maximum of 10 ordinary members elected at the AGM. Provided that no industry / interest group is represented by more than 2 Ordinary Members of the Board
- A maximum of 2 employees of the Association who may be appointed by the Board as ex officio members
Election of the Board
Nominations as ordinary members of the Board are to be made in writing, signed by 2 members of the Association and accompanied by the written consent of the candidate. The Secretary Manager must receive the nomination form no less than 7 days before the date of the Annual General Meeting, which is usually held in March.
If there are insufficient nominations received to fill the Board before the AGM, nominations will be accepted at the meeting.
The Executive
The Executive of the Board consists of The President, The Vice President and the Treasurer. The Board, at the first board meeting, elects these roles.
